Awesome Easter Basket Ideas For Toddlers

Once your baby enters toddlerhood, Easter becomes a really sweet and fun holiday to celebrate! Your kid can finally understand what’s going on and feel excitement with receiving goodies and have a great time searching the yard for brightly colored eggs with a mystery treat inside.

Don’t those memories bring a smile to your face? I miss being a kid….

My honest belief is that since babies just don’t get the whole shebang there’s kiiiinda no point in getting too into it yet. Or at least understand that if you do go all out, it’s not so much for them to remember but more for your own fun. And I totally get that! After all, we’ve dreamt of this moment for so long! But for babies, you’ll truly be just fine sticking to the adorable bunny tail jammies and taking a hundred or so photos.

But once they turn two or so it’s totally different and it’s so much fun to assemble their Easter basket! You know what their interests are and what gets them squealing. You can envision the excitement in their eyes when they see something new that they get to play with. Even so, I still think it was more fun for me to assemble my son’s Easter basket last year! I literally cried when I Facetimed my mom to show her- don’t judge me.

So where do you start?

First of all, it can be easy to get carried away so beware! What I love to do is to do a mix of things I know my kid will love and also things he needs. We do this for Christmas and birthdays too and it works great. For my son’s basket this year I threw in a swim suit and sandals for the summer among some toys- perfect opportunity for items like that.

You decide how much you want to do and I guarantee you even one or two little toys will be fun for your kid! You definitely don’t need to go crazy to make it special.

Here are some ideas that your child will love and are easy to find online and in stores. I think it’s fun to get items of different sizes and colors but ultimately it must fit in the basket so don’t forget that!

Have fun!
